I have the greatest honor of taking pictures of my friends.   They are too sweet and we had a great time!  I think we managed to capture the spunk of the boys!  I just kept cracking up at the fun expressions!  Thanks for a laughs guys!

 
 
 
 
 

It doesn't get any better than this...

I can't help but smile when I look at these photos.  This family is dear to me and I had an absolute blast while photographing them.  They are so gorgeous!  They were good sports and I tried my hardest to wear them out!  Here's a few for their sneak peek.....thanks guys!  You were great!

Oh, and my absolute favorite is the one where the kids are making the "gag" faces while mom and dad are kissing!  Priceless!

 

I've learned....

I've learned to appreciate the world a little better over the last 8 years.  My son recently had a birthday, and in my house, that means time for his new portrait.  Oh, don't get me wrong, there are still all the other portraits throughout the year, but this gives me an excuse to dress him up and make it official!  I've learned in these past 8 years that he's going to do exactly what he wants to do in his picture.  Sometimes this means not smiling.  I'm ok with that.  In fact, I've learned to appreciate the genuine emotions of my child, but it's taken a while to get there.  It's the emotional integrity of a portrait.  I've learned to love that about his photos....he's not always smiling, but that's him, and that makes me love his pictures even more!

Sweet ones...

You may remember the beautiful family I photographed on the beach with the expecting mother.  Well, I was honored for them to come back so I could photograph the newest addition to their family. How gorgeous they look!  Here are a few sneak peeks for them!

I'm so excited to be partnering again with Belly & Baby and Hopscotch, this time for Fall portraits!  We will have so much fun, and I'm sure there will be candy involved!  :)  This is also a great time for fall family photos.  Please call or stop by the store (361-991-2540) to sign up for a time slot.  All portraits will be ordered that day and will be available for pick up before Halloween.  This will be so much fun!  Please let me know if you have any questions.

• $30 deposit needed to reserve your spot (includes a set of wallets with your deposit!) 
• $55 packages will include 3 sheets of one pose (your choice of your sheets being 1 8X10, 2 5X7s, or 8 wallets or any combination of these.)
• you may buy extra sheets of any pose for $18 a sheet
• Feel free to bring your own pumpkin, but we will provide some pumpkins, trick-or-treat bags, and Halloween props.

Capturing a bond....

I love capturing the emotions between close relationships.  I think that is part of my job as a photographer.  I'm recording this moment in history for a family.  This particular moment I captured with a beautiful family is priceless between a mom and her new baby.  It is so real and so beautiful.  Here's a sneak peek for the family!

I LOVE A SALE!!

On most days that you see me, I'll have a necklace with my son's photo on it.  He asks me to wear it everyday so that I won't forget about him (like I could forget about him??).  Well, the place where I get the jewelry is discontinuing one of their necklaces, therefore, having a nice little discount on it.  The sale ends October 15, so let me know if you'd like to get this style.  This style will work best with one of your vertical proofs.  The sale price is $42.  Think of it as early Christmas shopping!

Unleashed...

Yes, I photograph my dogs.  Sometimes they are the only ones that will pose for me!  And all I have to say is "wanna treat?" or "wanna go?" and they totally cooperate.  So here is our little one that our son named "Sweetie"...and she is!

Beautiful boys...

It's all in the eyes...

This little beauty was such a doll to photograph.  I could've just played all day!  This was one of those times when I couldn't decide if I liked them in color or black and white.  I'm typically a black and white kind of girl, but those blue eyes just popped out at me!  We had a great time and couldn't have done it without her aunt along to help!  Here's their sneak peek!

 

Full Circle

I love it when I get to see the babies after a maternity session.  I photographed this sweet family several months ago when they were pregnant and I was able to meet the new member recently.   We got some sweet smiles out of him.   It was also Dad's birthday!  I told him what a great way to spend his birthday....he didn't seem to agree!  ;)  Thanks guys!

 

Tax Free Sale!

OK, I know I don't sell school supplies or clothes, but I thought it would be fun to have my own little sale!  From Friday-Sunday, I will pay the sales tax on all orders.  This applies to all orders THIS WEEKEND!

Now, school started for my baby today....sniff sniff....yes, I cried....I always do!  But I do know to not do it in front of him!  He humored me for a few shots after school today....

Cutie Pie!

I think I must get the cutest babies in all of South Texas!  I'm not sure how I get so lucky to get these "born-to-be-models" but I do.  And life just has to be fun when you're six months old and drooling!  I had a blast with this family who has some of the most polite kids I have ever met!  And this is the littlest member of the family, whom I photographed as a newborn.  It's so much fun to see them grow!  I do believe this is the first 6 month old to fall asleep during a session....I must've really worn her out!

 

Full of life!

I get to meet some of the most fun families when I do my sessions.  I absolutely love seeing their personalities come out while we're shooting.  This little one was fully of life at our beach shoot.  She kept running towards the water and mom and dad kept reeling her in.  It was too cute.  That is such a hard age to keep OUT of the water!  Anyway, I had a great time....always do! 

       

Double the fun!

This dear family definately tugged at my heart.  I have a special place in my heart for twins, and was so glad I was able to capture these beautiful babies.  We couldn't believe they both fell asleep at the same time, too!  Thank you to the family for allowing me to be a part of your precious day.

 

Counting my blessings....not my years!

I am a lucky woman, in so many ways.  Today is my birthday, and I have one request.  Just hug your children tonight.  Life is precious.  Life is short.  We don't know what tomorrow will bring.  I will strive to be thankful for what I have and the many blessings I've been given. 

 Speaking of blessings, my dear husband took this picture of me and my son on our recent vacation.  He's growing so fast (my son, not my husband!) and is almost as tall as me at only 7 years old.  His childhood is slipping through my fingers, and I strive to capture everything I can.   I am a lucky woman!

Goodbye summer....

 

My "day job" as a counselor for the deaf with Corpus Christi Independent School District starts back up tomorrow.

  Summer has ended....

This photo was taken during our recent vacation.  I can't take credit for the idea.  We had just finished our family photo session (yes, I made my family do this on vacation!) and were packing up to leave the beach, when my husband thought of this idea.  It's one of my favorites from our trip.

Just the beginning...

I got to photograph a very sweet 5 day old baby girl the other day.  I just love getting my newborn "fix!"   She was a trooper (mom and dad were, too!) and we got some very sweet angelic photos to capture the beginning of her life.  Dad is a fellow Aggie, so we had to capture that Aggie pride as well(WHOOOOP!)  Thank you to this beautiful family for coming over!

 

Baby blues...

This little 9 month old stole my heart the other day!  She's got the biggest, bluest eyes I've ever seen!  She did great!  Even though it was just about naptime, we got some sweet expressions.

OK, enough business....let's see some pictures!  This was a maternity session I did on the beach for this beautiful family.  There are too many sweet ones to show, but we sure had a nice time and had beautiful weather.  I just loved the little girl's dress....perfect flowing dress for the beach!

Beach Day

We had a beautiful evening for a beach shoot.  We have been lucky to have a couple of weeks of low winds for several beach sessions.  The wind has picked back up, so I'm glad we were able to do those when we did!  This was a beautiful family of 5.  The kids were up for anything and seemed to have a good time (wife and hubby did too!)  Here are a few shots for their sneak peek!  Thanks again for a great time, guys!

 

Beautiful beach day...

We were really fortunate with a beautiful day at the beach with this family.   They was absolutely gorgeous, and the children had a blast!  My favorite is of the kids kissing...proofs of that sibling love!

 

First Senior of the new school year!

This won't be the last of this young lady that you'll see on here.  I'm just starting her proofing, and am just blown away by her ease in front of the camera.  I know I did not look like that as a senior in high school!  Anybody remember the poofy hair and retainers?  yeah....you get where I'm going with this.  Senior girls today DO NOT look like we did as seniors!   This girl is a natural.  More to come when I finish her proofs!  I had a blast...thanks again, girl!

Brand new...

This little angel is not even a week old.  I was honored to do this family's maternity photos and was lucky to get to meet their new addition!  We had a great time and I wore the entire family out!  Here's their sneak peek of their gorgeous new girl!

   

Happy July!

 

I wanted to wish everyone a happy July with a fantastic July 4th weekend coming up.  This is one of my beautiful little models who's always eager to smile for the camera!  My husband says she looks like she's about to compete at the Olympics! 

I also want to take a moment to thank all of our military families out there.  I have quite a few military families that I take pictures for, and it's always my honor.  We are a blessed nation to have these brave people make their sacrifices and work so hard.  So a great big thank you to you!  Have a great week and a safe weekend.

What fun to be a fairy!

I have the pleasure of living next to a family with 5 girls.   My son gladly passes on the fairy modeling to these girls!  I only have 3 of the 5 now in photos, but the other two will probably be close behind in playing dress up.  We had a great time and the place was covered in tutus and flowers and rose petals.....what more could a fairy want?

What an absolutely adorable group of siblings I had the honor of working with recently!   We had a great time and got some really sweet ones of them.  My favorite is the one of the two older one kissing on their baby sister....TOO sweet!

All girl!

This is one of my sweet little models that loves to dress in all my girly things (my son says this is not in his contract!)  She's a complete natural, and I literally do nothing but snap away!  So here's a few of our last mini session:

 

Down by the seashore...

We have been trying FOREVER to get this cutie by the seashore, but mother nature allowed us to wait for the perfect day!  It was gorgeous this particular day, with very little wind...an unusual phenomenon here in South Texas! This little one made my job easy...I just followed her around while she laughed and played at the beach.  She definately enjoyed herself...do I have the best job or what?!  I love it when the kids have fun during a photo session.  Thanks to this family for letting me play!

           

A day at the beach...

OK....get ready!  I'm hoping to start beach sessions again!  If you've tried to plan a beach session with me, you know how hard it can be!  The wind can be terrible, and for some reason it's been rough the last few months.  Well, I managed to sneak in a session for a family moving away.  Thanks, guys!  I had a great time.  You can tell by looking at them that they love the beach!  Thanks for looking!

 

Father's Day Special!

I think he's really smiling!

This little guy is so brand new, but I really think he is smiling for his pictures at a young age!  Mom and Dad may be holding a future model!  I had a great time with this little one, as I do with all my little ones!  It is my honor to be a part of someone's new life.  Happy Memorial Day to everyone!

 

Generations...

I know I've said before how special it is when grandparents come to the photo session.  Grandparents rarely go in to any studio to have pictures taken with their grandchildren.  So ANY time there is a grandparent visiting, please feel free to bring them along for some photos!  Here is a new little one with his brother, mom, and grandmother.  Thanks for looking!

 

The first....

I love photographing expecting families.  There's just something about a couple expecting their first born child.  Usually the hubbies are willing and able (not so much with the 2nd or 3rd child!) and the wives are just glowing and excited.  I love that feeling!  This was the case with this particular couple....such a joy to work with and photograph.  Thanks for looking!

 

What a ham!

What a wonderful day!  How often do us mothers get to enjoy a day made just for us!  I hope your families were as good to you as mine was to me.  Bless all you mothers out there today!  I'm a lucky girl, as you can see below.  Now, my husband was sweet enough to take these pictures.  I'm thankful to have some of us together, even if it did seem like torture to my little guy!

 

It's been a while!

I apologize for how long it's been since I last posted pictures.  I know there are several families waiting to see their cuties on here!  I wanted to show two little ones that had a great time in their chef's hats!  This mom plans to put these in her kitchen...what a cute idea!
